Class of 1963 55th Reunion was held on September 24, 2018

at the Eagle Eye Conference Center in Bath. There were golf outings and

an informal mixer that were also well attended.

Thomas Cannarile  (Lansing)


 Thomas John Cannarile was born May 1, 1945 in Lansing, Michigan to John and Virginia Cannarile. Tom was a long time resident of Laingsburg, Michigan who worked for Oldsmobile for 39 years; Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing and telling “Dad” jokes. Tom graduated from Everett High School (Lansing, Michigan) in 1963 and in 1976 completed an Associates Degree in Transportation and Traffic Management from Lansing Community College. 
On April 24, 1965 Tom married Ellen Ann Creager in Dansville,
 Michigan. Tom and Ellen had three sons: Timothy Cannarile (Deceased), Anthony Cannarile (Bradenton, Florida) and Daniel Cannarile (Manistee, Michigan). Tom and Ellen also have seven grandchildren: Sheena Sumner (Allenton, Michigan), Kylee McKee (Rudyard, Michigan), Summers Captain (Rudyard, Michigan), Dillon Oostendorp (Greensboro, Florida), Skyler Cannarile (Bradenton, Florida), Sophia Cannarile (Bradenton, Florida) and Jacob Cannarile (Imlay City, Michigan). Tom and Ellen have five great-grandchildren: Thomas McKee (Rudyard, Michigan), Kaylee McKee (Rudyard, Michigan), Alani Sumner (Allenton, Michigan), Elyse Sumner (Allenton, Michigan) and Eddie Langford, Jr. (Rudyard, Michigan). Tom had five siblings: Marjorie Cannarile (Deceased), Charles Cannarile (Deceased), Jean Cannarile-McCain (Lansing, Michigan), Susan Pulte and husband Mark Pulte (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and Frank Cannarile and wife Jennifer Cannarile (Lansing, Michigan). Tom had many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. 
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, brother, sister and a son.
 
The family would like to extend its gratitude to: family friend Randy White and Hazel I Findlay Country Manor in St. Johns, Michigan for all always being gracious and kind during Tom’s final months.

Howard Edward Neely Jr. of Bath, MI passed away on August 7, 2018 at the age of 88.

 Howard was born on March 24, 1930 in Ann Arbor, MI and grew up in Ypsilanti, MI.

Howard taught art and coached track, football and cross-country at Everett High School in Lansing.

 Howard is survived by his wife of 51 years, Linda K. Neely; his children:

Howard E. Neely III, Dr. Aaron N. Neely, Eric A. Neely(Jill) and Sarah E. Neely;

 his grandchildren: Jackson, Julian, Miranda and Olivia;

 and two sisters, Mary Louise Foley and Patricia Neely-McCurdy.

Ret. Cpt. James "Jim" Rapp - Born June 26th, 1946, was called to heaven July 27th, 2018 in Lansing Michigan. He was preceded in death by his Father, Arthur James Rapp, Mother, Elizabeth Beauton Rapp, Sister Cathy Hawkins (Rapp). He is survived by Daughter Elizabeth Treanor of Lansing, and Daughter Emily (Steve) Richards of Farmington Hills, and Grandchildren, Ella Treanor, Evienne and Beauden Richards, brother, Rodney (Pat) Rapp. He is also survived by his Loving Partner, Cheryl Smith of Lansing, her Daughter Lisa (Travis) Metcalf of Portland, Son Mark Smith (Jem Cornish) of Wolverine Lake, and her Grandchildren Hunter and Riley Metcalf. He attended Lansing Everett High School where he lettered in 5 sports and earned All-State, All-City Half Back in 63'-64'. From there, he attended Kansas State University on a Football Scholarship. Jim served in the U.S. Army as a Medic. Jim later returned to Lansing to pursue a career in policing. He served LPD for 26 years where he earned title of Captain. While policing he also earned his Bachelors and Masters Degree from Michigan State University. After retiring from LPD, Jim worked for Michigan State University as a Curriculum Director for Community Policing and the State of Michigan as a grant writer for Drug Control Policy. He retired in June of 2015. 

His love for family and friends was immeasurable. He had a personality that was contagious and a smile that will never be forgotten. The "LLFOJ" (Lifelong Friends of Jim) will continue his legacy of storytelling, fine friendship and poor putting for many years to come. His love for his family will be felt for generations. Fond memories of Jim will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing him.

MAY 28, 1945 ~ MAY 23, 2018 (AGE 72)

D. Creig Dunckel, 72 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Wednesday, May 23, 2018.

 

 Creig's family will remember him at a memorial gathering to be held at a later date.

Everett Alumni Fishing Team (unofficial)

 

June 14th - 22nd, 2014  - Bob Whipple, Ed Smith, Loren Hersey, Dana Niendorf, Tom Bradley and Jim Barrett (Class of 1961) went to Cormorant

Lake near the town of The Pas in Northern Manitoba for 5 fantastic days of fishing for Northern Pike, Walleye and Lake Trout. We had

a great time of fishing and just hanging out together. Below are a few of the best pictures.
